Short Story
Several hundred years ago, humans were nearly exterminated by Titans. Titans are typically several stories tall, seem to have no intelligence, devour human beings and, worst of all, seem to do it for the pleasure rather than as a food source. A small percentage of humanity survived by walling themselves in a city protected by extremely high walls, even taller than the biggest Titans. Flash forward to the present and the city has not seen a Titan in over 100 years. Until that day.....

Seeing as their is a shortage of food, especially meat, the select scout group will be tasked with gathering live stock. This is a smooth mission and there is not expected to be any titan resistance. However the team has been informed that they are to prepare for the worst. Since it was a bright sunny day the group tasked with this mission will be a small group of rookies. They are to try there best to gather whatever livestock they can and head back to Wall Rose as soon as possible. If they encounter any titans they are to not engage if possible. Seeing as the North doesn't have much ideal livestock and both the East and West are currently danger zones the only way the scouting party was authorized to go was the forests to the South. While they still had titans in them the forest were one of the less dangerous places.
After they set out on the mission the clouds above began to swirl ever so slightly and the sky gradually turned black. Seeing as it was already late and there were no signs of wildlife the darkness would not be unexpected. However within mere seconds it began to rain violently. The wind thrashing against the few trees in the barren land and the lush green ground soon turned in to mud. If the dangerous rain didn't make it hard to use 3DMG the wind would have. If any wildlife was nearby they were surely retreating to safe places to ride out the storm. Cracks of lightning echoed through the forest as the storm raged on.

Two dark figures walked through the forest as the storm began to build up above.
"We have to find shelter." Michael said. They were on a mission to gather livestock and he didn't want to fail. However, they weren't going to find many animals out in the storm that was building. Michael also didn't want to run in to any titans when it started to rain.
He felt very uneasy. Only two scouts sent on this mission. Michael was scanning the area with his eyes, trying to find any one of three things. A titan, any signs of animals, or some nice shelter.

Luke was walking with Michael, cloak on with the hood up. Luke's horse was right beside Michael and his horse, as they trailed through the forest to find shelter. Luke then noticed far far in the distance was a titan, since it was far enough. He couldn't physically describe how big it was, as soon as he spotted it, he turned to Michael speaking quietly, "Titan, bearing North. Straight ahead." Luke thought for a moment on how they were going to accomplish such a mission that was given to them. He then followed up with, "Let's try to avoid it and find the best shelter possible. Fast."

"I saw it." Michael said to Luke. He looked at his own horse. "Hmmm, if worse comes to worse we can use the horses as shelter. Titans don't go after animals and the horses scent will mask ours." Michael said suddenly. "Lets hope it doesn't come to that though."
They continued traveling when Michael pointed out a small cave. The titan that was far away seemed to be drifting closer in their direction. Michael wasn't sure if it had seen them or if it was just wandering. He didn't want to find out. He ducked inside the cave, leading his horse in. "In here, Luke. That titan is coming closer this way."

Luke was then pulling his hood further on as it was slipping off. Luke then hears Michael speak immediately afterwards saying, "I saw it.". Knowing that a titan was real close to them worried Luke, he started to get nervous a little and start to tighten his grip on the horses reins. Just as Luke was going to say something, Michael takes the words right out of his mouth saying, "Hmmm, if worse comes to worse we can use the horses as shelter. Titans don't go after animals and the horses scent will mask ours.". Followed by "In here, Luke. That titan is coming closer this way." Luke nods and cracks his neck moving it side to side saying, "Right.".Luke thought for sure they're going to get spotted for sure. It's just a matter of time before it catches up to to them.

The cave was dimly lit from the outside. "No fire, Titan might see or smell it." Michael said, didn't want to risk starting a fire. The titan might would see the light from outside of the cave and investigate.
Michael led his horse to one of the far walls. Michael leaned his back against the wall and made his horse lay down in front of him. If the titan looked in, Michael would simply drop behind his horse and hide. He wasn't sure if Titans could see in the dark, but it never hurt to be too sure. "Do this, if the titan investigates you can just hide behind your horse. Same principle as I said outside." Michael said.
Despite being a cave, it was actually pretty dry. Michael heard a small scitter across the floor and dismissed it as being a mouse or some sort of rodent. Michael rummaged through the saddlebags and pulled out a flask, taking a drink. He didn't think the titan would find them here.
During this entire time, Michael's expression remained neutral with a slight hint of a scowl.

Luke heard Michael say, "No fire, Titan might see or smell it.". Luke nodded in response did the same with his horse and sat down as well, leaning back on the wall he closed his eyes listening closely for footsteps, suddenly Michael spoke again saying, "Do this, if the titan investigates you can just hide behind your horse. Same principle as I said outside.". Luke said in response "Worth a shot I guess.". As he sat there listening for loud footsteps, he heard small footsteps around the cave and ignored them, Luke was more focused on the titan. Although it was raining and the two appeared to well hidden, very slowly through the sound of rain, loud steps are heard and they begin to only get louder and louder. Luke assumed Michael heard it too, Luke was hoping it was just coming over this way by coincidence.

As the two scouts hid away from the titans and storm alike in the cave their effort was not enough. The titan was heading right for the cave as he heard the two talking. Reaching the mouth of the cave the monsters small stature would allow for easy access into the rather large mouth of the cave. However the beast simply stopped out the dark rock formation. A hollow look in it's eyes as it stared at the two scouts and there animal companions. The creatures gaze seemed to be looking right through them as they were at a stand still. He didn't move a muscle as a wide smile held on it's face. While it might have not intended for the toothy expression it was there to say. Taking a single step toward the cave the monster continued to look straight through the scouts. Remnants of his hot breath could just barely be felt from the other side of the cave as an eerie feel crept in on the cave's inhabitants. The small rodents and even some of the large animals in the cave quickly went in to hiding. Although the titan would not focus on them the small creatures treated it just like every other threat, just in case it would attack.

"Damn." Michael said as he drew out his blades. Michael was easing his way to the left side of the cave. It was still very dim, but Michael could see the outline of that titan's grin.
The 3DMG wouldn't be as effective in the small cave. Still, it could come in handy. "Luke, got any ideas?" Michael asked aloud, he himself had an idea, but it was risky. "I got two, but you might not like them. First, we could either circle around, each of us on a different side. If he lunges the other can hopefully kill him before he kills one of us. Second, we try to trip him using our 3DMG and get him while hes down." Michael kept his eyes on the titan. It was small, but in this cave it was more of a help then a hinderance.
Through his peripheral vision, as his eyes adjusted to the low light, Michael saw several vantage points to strike at the titan. The problem would be, to get there. He guessed that if he tried to zip around the titan using his 3DMG, the titan might catch the cables and and then he'd be turned into a snack with floss.
Michael cursed himself, he thought that this cave would provide shelter, but it might well be either his or Luke's tomb. He shook his head, he couldn't think like that, he needed to keep his head in the fight. Michael cleared his mind. He wasn't going to die in this cave by a weak 5 meter. Michael's neutral face broke and now he had a determined smirk on his face.

Luke looks towards the titan and immediately moves to the right hearing Michael say, "Damn". Luke gripped his blades holds them tightly, all a sudden he had a urge to injure himself, which was bizarre to him. Why would he do that? After thinking through all this he hears Michael again saying, "Luke, got any ideas?". In response Luke said, "Ehh..... No... Not currently, you?" In response he heard Michael speak again, "I got two, but you might not like them. First, we could either circle around, each of us on a different side. If he lunges the other can hopefully kill him before he kills one of us. Second, we try to trip him using our 3DMG and get him while hes down.". Luke thought for a moment and said in response, "The first idea seems possible. I'm ready when you are." Luke stands a running stance with his blades drawn and a mad looking expression on his face, he was ready.

Without giving the two anytime the titan swung it's massive arm toward Michael. While it didn't really have much to go off of for who to strike first he saw Michael as the closest. As while his hand swung the distance wasn't that far, so the titan's body didn't move much. The group hadn't even finished talking before the 5 meter tall monster went on the offense. His facial expression didn't change at all as he did so. Since the titan was a rather small one compared to the rest he quickly recovered from his attack, sending another attack toward Michael in complete disregard of the second titan. After all he was way too focused on the first scout to be torn from him just by the presence of Luke. His hot breath was not evident in the cave. The hole rock structure was extremely warm, almost as if the summer sun was beating down on the rock all day.
As the small titan continued it's assault the sound of crumbling stone echoed through the forest. While the loud noise sent wildlife running it would also catch the attention of any nearby titans. Fortunatly for the two scouts however only one other titan was nearby. This one was a bit taller then the first, standing at seven meters instead of five. While the first titan readied for it's second strike the seven meter tall titan would begin to draw closer to the cave. It's footsteps heard echoing through the now deserted section of the forest.

Michael's instincts kicked in. He sensed the blow before actually seeing it. He dropped straight to the ground and let the attack sail over his head. Missing him by inches. He got up and slashed in an upward motion at the arm as it withdrew for another attack.
This time Michael jumped over the arm, being clipped by it slightly this time, not quite clearing it. "Argh. Damn it." Michael muttered, but he was positioned above the titan's arm in the air. He aimed his swords down. He hoped that if he was successful, the blades would drive through the titan's arm and pin it to the stone. Being clipped had thrown him a little off balance though.

Luke's response to the attack was immediate, he knew it was now or never. He charged while the titan was distracted by Michael, he ran forwards off to right side he was on and jumped kicking off the stone wall to his right, sending the left hook from his 3DMG into the ceiling, attempting to zoom by it's head and let the left hook unhook from the ceiling, allowing his momentum carry him through the air, afterwards he then attempts to send a strike directly onto the nape of the titans neck as hard as he can and quickly to help save Michael while he was distracting it, as he was sailing through the air, a loud grunt was heard while Luke was charging his attack before attempting to continue through with the blow, watching Michael dodge the sweep before launching Luke's attack of his own and attempting to kill it.

As the seven meter tall titan was almost at the cave the five meter titan had just finished his second strike. Since he felt his hand touch Michael the titan clamped his palm into a fist. However he didn't do it fast enough and Michael escaped the titan's clutches. Then as the scout sent a counter attack and Luke swung for his own attack the titan felt Michael's blades cut through his arm. Tugging to free his arm the titan whipped Michael around a bit since the male was still holding on to his blades. In the process however the titan's head snapped back as it felt resistance. While his arm was trapped the back of his head struck Luke's body. Sending the scout back toward the seven meter titan. The five meter tall titan then reached his right arm to grab Michael if he was able to. The scouts blades were dug deep into the titan's arm and would take some effort to free.
While the five meter titan and Michael classed the seven meter tall titan happened to notice Luke fly and hit the ground. His legs bent ever so slightly as he reached down in an attempt to snatch Luke up. Perhaps he would be able to grab him and have a quick meal without as much as a struggle as the five meter was having. While he went to pick up Luke the seven meter titan held an emotionless look. His mouth was closed and his teeth were hidden. However he seemed to be in a deep though, even though that was not the case.

Michael saw a hand coming for him. With a great surge of strength he ripped the blades out of the titan's arm and dropped to the ground. The hand passed over him, nearly slamming into his head, missing it by centimeters.
Michael rolled forward toward the Titan. He ran and slid underneath it. As he came behind the titan he slashed backwards with both blades, trying to slice some tendons in the creature's legs to hopefully cripple or topple it.

Luke was winded when he hit the ground on his left shoulder rolling, such a hit seemed to dislocate his left shoulder, due to this Luke having his right side fine, he uses his grapple to hook onto the 7 meter titans lower torso to pull Luke through it's legs quick enough to dodge the hands coming from him, Luke was going fast enough with his grapple, using gas as well he swings through the titans legs and up behind it's neck, unhooking his right grapple he the uses the momentum he has to attempt striking the 7 meter titan behind the neck on the nape as hard as he can with his right arm. Luke thought as he did this that it was lucky that he was a right handed fighter. Luke was not only fighting for his safety and hatred for the titans, but he realized that there's another's life at stake if he fails.

The five meter tall monster let out a wild grunt as the blades cut into it's leg, while they didn't go deep enough to do any lasting damage the attack made him stumble. As the titan went to regain it's balance it lost it's footing, falling toward the cave. As it crashed into the rock the structure quickly toppled. Sending all of it's inhabitants down with it. This included Michael who was practically sucked into the rubble by gravity. As the titan laid on the ground rubble poured down on Michael, rocks now blanketed the scouts while more continued to add to the pile. The shorter titan began to stir from it's collapsed state and force it's body back up into a standing position. Although it fell a few times in the process it finally succeed. It began to sift through the rubble as it searched for Michael, it's next meal.
While the rocks tumbled to the ground in the distance the seven meter titan continued it's attempt to capture Luke. First glancing through it's own legs before peering up at Luke. Since it's head was tilted up to see Luke the large beast opened it's mouth wide. However Luke was a bit higher then the titan had hoped. As Luke plummeted back down to the ground his blades landed in the titans eyes. The sharp metal weapons would be showered in a crimson red along with Luke. Then the blades would slide down the titan's eye. Stopping with a large thud agains the titan's eye socket. The now slippery handles of the blades would be hard to grip with the impact of the blade against the bone and the thrashing of the titan. While the large monster shook and thrashed about with it's toothy maw still open it's effort would only make holding on a harder task for Luke.

Michael suffered many bruises and cuts from the cave-in. A rock struck the side of Michael's head, drawing blood and dazing him slightly. It also... pissed Michael off. Luckily, Michael had still had the presence of mind to hold onto his weapons. He pushed some rocks off himself and stood up, an angry glare in his eyes. Some blood dripped from several of his wounds and his body screamed in agony. His anger and survival instincts were blocking the pain though.
A smirk creased his face as he rose from the rubble directly behind the five meter titan. He was a few feet away, any second it seemed it could turn. He looked at the Titan's neck. This little 5 meter had caused him pain and he was going to pay it back, in full.
Michael shifted and aimed his 3DMG and fired the cables which went behind the Titan's neck and struck the stone wall, holding fast. Michael gave it gas and spun rapidly into a whirlwind of slashing steel as he sailed toward the titan's neck and back.

Luke then, swings his body so his legs and body is hanging off the back of the titans head, Luke then takes his dagger with a rope attached to in and smashes it into the titans head after letting go of his sword, Luke then takes the other sword holstered in his gear and pulls it out before letting go of the dagger and driving his sword into the nape of the titans neck, attempting to kill such beast. He uses all the might he has to drive his sword into it's neck pushing hard.

In it's hunched over and weaken state the five meter titan continued to search for Michael. However this proved to be it's downfall as it's searching distracted him from Michael's true location. As the scout sailed through the air the titan seemed to now be aimlessly pushing pile of rocks around. Then in a split second the nape of the beast's neck was split in two, the cut going deep enough to hit it's weak spot. As the battlefield was showered in a crimson river of blood the five meter corpse tumbled to the ground. The crash of it's body on the pile of rocks can be heard all through the immediate area.
While Michael was fairing well the same could not be said for Luke. Seeing as the scout only had one usable arm the sword while landing in it's target spot did not cut deep enough. As the blade cut into the seven meter titan's neck the enormous beast reached back, grabbing Luke. The creature hesitated as it stared at Luke in his palm. An emotionless look still plastered on it's face as it's eyes scanned Luke, almost as if it was having a moment of silent victory. After a minute or two the titan then opened it's mouth. Strands of saliva were strung from it's gums as it's huge teeth were exposed. The titan then began to slowly lift Luke towards it's mouth.

Michael released his cables and landed a bit roughly. He glanced at the 5 meter titan he had just felled. He was glad that enemy was dealt with. However, his relief faded when he looked up at a 7 meter getting ready to devour his friend.
Michael shouted. "HEY UGLY, PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN SIZE." He didn't think his taunt would work to distract the titan from such an easy meal, but it might make him hesitate for a few precious seconds.
Michael ran towards the titan, firing his cables out to try and snag the titan's arm. Michael didn't know if he could rescue Luke in time, but he was going to try. His body ached and screamed in pain, the adrenaline was wearing off. Michael needed to strike decisively before the pain in his body overwhelmed him. He pointed his blades in front of him and tightened his body into a torpedo like shape as the gas propelled him towards the titan's arm, the one that was holding his comrade.

Luke was in danger and determined to get out of it'd grasp, he stretched his arm out trying to push away for the titan, just to cut himself on the titans tooth, immediately Luke felt different and he had a clear goal in mind, kill this titan. Reason why it was a goal was due to him in it's grasp obviously seconds from death. Luke then transforms into a 16 meter titan, tearing the titans hand apart immediately as it is stretched apart from the new enlarged organism in front of it. Appearance: http://bit.ly/1iKLt82. Luke in his titan form then grabs the titans head with one hand attempting to crush it. At the same time a loud grunt is heard.

Just as the seven meter tall titan was about to smash it's teeth down on Luke's body it felt the impact of Michael's blade in it's arm, right below it's wrist. While it didn't make him release Luke it did grab his attention. The large humanoid creature stared at Michael for a split second before it directed it's attention back at look. Seeing the helpless scout the titan began to bring him toward his jaw. Then as he felt the male cut himself on his giant teeth the titan's hunger grew with the taste of blood.
Just moments before the titan sank it's teeth into Luke's body it roared in pain as it's hand seemingly exploded. The rush of blood along with the titan stumbling would allow Michael's blade to slip from the titan's flesh, sending the scout toward the ground. Almost effortlessly the titan's hand quickly regenerated, steam spiraling from the mass of torn flesh. As the steam dissipated the seven meter tall beast looked back toward Luke. It swung it's arm right before the newly shifted titan grabbed the seven meter's skull. While the slap of the titan's strike could be heard echoing through the forest as it with no doubt did some extensive damage. Then as Luke's titan form clamped it's hand down on the smaller titan's head the crunching of bone could be heard as the titan's head exploded. The decapitated titan quickly fell to the ground as Luke would lose his grip seeing as the titan's skull was no more. While the seven meter tall titan would seem to be finished it was merely incapacitated for the time being.
This is an attack on titan RP where titans are rules of the land. Humans are locked into the walls living their life and trying keep safe from those monsters. You can play canon and non-canon characters but the story doesn't follow the manga. Enjoy your stay and RP with us!
