the inner sanctum of the Stoness district slowly opened up as Rysa traversed the gates. The atrocities of the loss of wall Maria were fresh in her mind as she slowly walked out of the shadow of the wall into the light of the now midday sun. Her green uniform cloak draped over her back with the twin blood red roses that were a silent reminder of the many military losses taken. Her dark blue eyes followed the stone as she quietly continued her journey inward towards the interior with nothing but a sense of duty as she continued forward. Her less then neat guard uniform made her feel the great weight of protecting the now rejoicing people of the inner walls whose daily lives were insured by the men and women adorned in the uniforms of their military.

As she passed the guards on duty, she curtly nodded before taking her place among her brethren. "It's been too long." She muttered quietly leaning against the guard post wall. The less then exciting day of her new post was about to begin. She watched from the post as children played, and citizens went about their day to day lives. Pulling her food down to reveal her dark blond hair, she ran her hands though it so that it fell to its short neck length. "Hopefully something interesting will happen today." She sighed as she continued to watch who entered and exited the gates. She watched as the guard captain checked each wagon and person who traveled the gates. "That will be me one day." Rysa said with a sigh realizing that her existence in her new post was probably going to be a boring one. She longed for something interesting to happen before the day was through.

Rysa sighed as the day went along. Corporal Ryden's snoring in the guard post chair annoyed her as she watched the gate from the exterior of the small shack. She sighed and slowly raised her head to notice the guard Captian who's name was less then familiar began to address a woman who had just arrived through the gates. She faintly made out the words "patrol...not your friend." And other tid bits that didn't quite process. Taking no time to think, Ryas quickly reached inside the guard house and pulled two standard issue muskets that were positioned there for such duties. Slinging the pair of rifles over her shoulder, she swiftly began to math towards the guard Captian.

"Captain" She said bluntly as she quickly formed a salute by taking her right fist and placing it over her heart. She was so glad to be out of the guard house as she prepared to ask the Captian about patrols. Hopefully she caught his attention, Enough that she could speak further. "Sir, might I request to go on this patrol." She said keeping a straight face in hopes that she might actually go somewhere opposed to sitting in the guard post all day.

"Corporal Ryder seems to have everything locked down here and I was just hoping to efficiently utilize our human resources." She added nodding her head back to the sleeping corporal. Weather the Captian saw fit to allow her to go on the patrol or not was unsure; however she hoped that he would see that even a sleeping man could accurately guard the gates.

She longed to actually do something.

Alan sighed as he looked at the girl, all dirty and hungry. Alan assumed she couldn't be older than twelve.
Is this what you do now, Alan? Harass little girls? Shame on you he scolded himself in his mind.
Alan, however, had no choice but to escort this girl to where she belonged. Due to more and more people noticing his tendency to let unfortunate and poor people get away with their crimes, he had to play the bad guy for a bit so the suspicion against him will decrease. Even then, Alan hated doing this. The poor girl didn't even manage to steal anything on her adventure to the Inner City, but she did manage to sneak into the protected city unnoticed.
The girl had a tomboy-ish haircut, and wasn't afraid to let the Military Policeman know exactly what she thought of him and the rest of the 'stupid-ass donkeys with sticks in their heads instead of brains', as she referred to his faction. Alan sighed and continued walking her towards the gates of the Inner City, the foul-mouthed girl in front of him.
As he got to the gate, he spotted quite a bit of Stationary Guard members about. This was a strange occurrence to Alan, because this was one of the few times he'd seen the area manned at all. Their slack was often the reason his job even existed. Nevertheless, the Military Patrolsman entered through the gates into Stohess territory. He spotted someone who seemed to be of authority, next to a girl with odd gloves. Next to them, he recognized Rysa. However, he believed the occasion didn't call for any friendly greetings.
"Sir, are you in charge here?" Alan asked the man, who seemed too busy with his paperwork to even notice Alan. He waited for a bit, impatiently. The young girl in front of him noticed her chance, and kicked Alan with the back of her foot. As Alan gasped in surprise, she started running towards the alleys of the city.
"H-hey! Hold it!" he shouted, as he realized what happened and started running after her. However, she was long gone by then, and he was out of breath after only a little bit of running towards the alleys. He wasn't as fit as he'd have liked to be.
He returned to the Garrison soldier who looked like a figure of authority.
"Sir." Alan said once more, with an irritated expression on his face. He cleaned his glasses with his black scarf, waiting for some form of recognition.
