Personality: Rysa is all about loyalty. It doesn't matter what it ends up being towards in the end. She is fairly blunt, and normally is not afraid to let people know that she doesn't agree with somethings. This is especially true when it comes to the protection of her comrades and the innocent that may become harmed by a foolish action. This doesn't mean that she is not rash when someone of importance in endangered; however in the end she is fairly sound of mind. She is not one to feel extreme attachment to people, and finds having average conversation or more romantic situations awkward. She would much rather avoid having to deal with such nonsense as she focuses on her military career and attempts to better mankind in such a world of uncertainty. She easily dawns upon her mistakes and hates failing those that matter. In fact it could be considered one of her greatest fears.

She is currently fighting with the Stationary Guard to defend the wall as best as she physically can. She enjoys the feeling of actually doing something about the situation that humanity now faces. However, she does not always agree with the mannerisms of some of her fellow members. She doesn't like the fact that most of the guards that fight beside her appear lazy or unkempt at times. She herself expected more from the wall's best warriors. The utter disappointment of being stuck 15th in her class set her on the path to loading artillery and doing nothing more than cleaning the walls as they grow thick with caked dust. She desires to actually do something about the situation, but finds herself stuck by her loyalty to her branch and her commanders at times. She is extremely saddened by her personal desire for the Guard and how it should be run; however she is only a basic soldier as of current. It is one of her personal goals to gain some rank and carry a greater influence within the guard in the future.

Appearance: Rysa is a dark blond haired young woman who joined the military at a young age to prove that even an orphaned girl could be useful in the fight against the advancing giants. She is garbed in her Guard uniform that houses the twin roses of the Guard Corps upon her back that helps mark her military branch. Her short blond hair is normally tied back into a neat bun that keeps her hair out of her face when using Three Dimensional maneuver gear or firing artillery pieces. When traveling she dawns her green military issued cloak that also proudly displays the twin roses that mark her division. Her face is sharp and stern except when she softens up to a more welcoming facial expression. Her Dark blue eyes are not her most drawing feature; however they are as beautiful all the same. her boney body structure is harsh and hard, but she is slowly gaining a more acceptable thickness as her body begins to acquire more and more muscle. She is what one would expect a soldier to look like. She is physically tough.

Likes: 1. Loyalty
Rysa respects and admires loyalty more than any other human quality. She will hold on to her loyalty to anyone who does the same for her and will respect them greatly.
2. Boxing
Rysa loves boxing more than any other sport present within the walls. It would prove fairly useless against titans; however she non the less loves to spar with her friends and anyone willing to rough it up.
3. The Piano
Rysa loves to play and listen to the piano. Although she isn't extremely skilled at playing it, the soothing sound of the music makes her feel good inside and out.
4. Roses and other romantic gestures
Rysa SECRETLY is quite the hopeless romantic. She would never let anyone else know that; however she really loves the sweet gestures of other people when they happen.
Dislikes: 1. Disloyalty
This one is obvious due to the fact that one of her greatest fears is to be betrayed in a time of need. She will vilify anyone who is disloyal to her, their faction, or themselves
2. Boat rides
Rysa hates boat rides due to the fact that she gets seasick fairly easily. That being said she will avoid boats if at all possible.
3. bananas
She hates bananas because she is allergic to them and finds the color yellow repulsive. She would much prefer a green apple or something of a less deadly verity.
4. Thieves
She finds stealing to be one of the worst crimes that currently plague human kind beyond murder.
Fears: 1. Being eaten like a swiss roll
Rysa has the logical fear of being eaten in the line of duty. In a world where hulking giants continue to try and devour you, how could one not be afraid of such a painful death
2. clowns
Rysa finds clowns to be just out right evil. She hates and avoids them at all costs.
3. Being betrayed
Rysa's greatest fear is being betrayed by the people she loves. This is derived from the fact that she had felt the sting of betrayal before and longs to never feel that horrible pain again
4. swimming
Rysa is afraid of swimming because the water is just overall terrifying. She can hardly compel herself to ride in a boat let alone swim.
Motivations: 1. To protect her nation
Rysa is extremely patriotic and longs to protect the people who intrust their lives with her and the Stationary Guard. The people motivate her to push herself as far as she can.
2. To prove herself among her brethren
She longs to prove herself among her fellow Guard members. In this she also desires to raise above her fellows in rank to help prove that she is worth noticing
3. Those who believe in her
She is motivated by those who believe in her, and she longs to make them as pleased as possible. She will never rest until she has kept those who are important safe and made them happy.



Character History

Background: Being born in the Trost District, Rysa grew up not knowing what a titan looked like. In fact she failed to know anything of such value as she grew up in a perfect world for a young child. She had a few friends, however her studies took up most of her free time. As she grew up to be a decent young lady, she began to realize how much she actually enjoyed the little things. As her father joined the Guard division, She became inspired by how brave her father appeared each time she saw him at his post before his redeployment further within the wall. It was there where her father was killed up keeping the peace. Little in known about his actual death, however it is known that he had been stabbed in the street of one of the small villages within wall Maria. After her father's death, Rysa's mother began to decline in mental health.

As Rysa began to reach the age of 10 her mother's mental state began to fail intensely. After her father's death, Her mother Tesa began to begin speaking in gibberish. Rysa hated the helpless feeling that her mother bestowed upon her as she eventually failed to say anything at all. Rysa eventually gave up on helping out her mother, which later resulted in the death of her mother when she reached the ripe age of 14. She felt responsible for her mother's death and continued to be haunted by her death as she joined the military to escape the personal hatred that she housed for herself and for her mother for giving up. She decided from the beginning that she would join the Guard to honor her father, and like him defend the walls of their great nation. Rysa finally found herself ready to try and do something for others.

During her training, Rysa found herself to be fairly weak. She had trouble preforming most of the physical tasks at first. She had to push herself to actually achieve anything. She found that she was much better at the 3DM gear training that followed all of the physical portioning of her and her fellow trainees' training. She especially excelled at the classroom portion as well. As she proved herself worthy, She acquired the rank of 15th in her class when all was said and done. With the two options placed before her, she chose the Guard as she had planned in the beginning. With that, Rysa began to find out how poor of a choice that turned out to be. Even though she gained extra marksmanship trainings and artillery trainings, in the end all of her duties were fairly moot. Now she awaits some actual duty that will give her the chance she had been looking for since her early days as a child.
